Myself

It grasped my shoulder forcing me away from the door I so wished to open. The further I reached the harder it pulled. Sometimes it injured me, but sometimes it just held me back gently. I never dared to turn around, for if I did I might never make it to the door. It never stopped; it was pull and tug, until I finally dared to turn around. The grayish blue eyes stared back at me. It had a black mask covering the rest of its face. I whipped around and pulled the black mask off only to reveal myself….

I actually based this story on how people hold themselves back from their dreams and goals and how once they realize that they are the ones doing it they let go.
